Empire Tour Bus is coming to KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —  This is your notice, all fans of FOX’s new hit show “Empire.”

The Empire Tour Bus is coming to Kansas City on Wednesday, August 12 to find Empire’s next superstar. It will be parked at 1323 Walnut Street at Power & Light from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Fans of Empire know it is FOX’s new hit show starring Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson. Diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease, a father has to choose one of his three sons to take over his successful music business before he dies.

The shiny gold tour bus is outfitted with a full recording studio. Fans walk up the steps to record their song from Empire’s hit list. Each recording is an audition for the “Empire’s Next Artist” contest.

One lucky winner will be written in as an artist,  appearing in season two of Empire.

They will also have the chance to be part of a special photo experience…. and, maybe, if they’re really lucky, they will be treated to Cookie’s fresh-baked cookies!

The Empire Tour Bus had originially planned a stop in St. Louis August 11th and 12th.

In a press release, FOX canceled the stop because of the unrest in Ferguson and the state of emergency declared in St. Louis County.
