Car crashes into fountain at medical research building

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police are investigating after a driver crashed his vehicle into a downtown medical building’s fountain.

On Wednesday police said an 18-year-old male victim left road for unknown reasons, near Volker Boulevard and Troost Avenue, and crashed his silver Chevy Blazer into a fountain at Stowers Institute for Medical Research facility.

Police said the driver was not wearing seatbelt and sustained life threatening injuries.
