KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A water main break in south Kansas City left the road covered with water early Wednesday morning.

The break happened at Red Bridge and Wasbash and caused the road to close for a short period of time.

Officials who were on the scene said it is an eight-inch main.

Water crews had shut off water to the area while they made repairs. As of 12:45 p.m. eight people were still without water.

Around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday officials said the main had been repaired and water service had been restored.
