5 people safe after fire destroys KCMO home

Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire at a home near 68th and Agnes.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — KCMO fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home Thursday.

The fire broke out at a home near 68th and Agnes just before noon.

There were five people inside of the home when flames erupted. All of them made it out safely including an 83-year-old woman and her one-year-old great-great-great grandson.

No injuries were reported in the fire.

Investigators were still trying to determine what caused the home to go up in flames.
