KCMO firefighters work to put out blaze at northland home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — KCMO firefighters are on the scene of a house fire Thursday morning in the northland.

The fire broke out in the 1200 block of NW 43rd Street just before 10:30 a.m.

A portion of the home’s roof collapsed in the fire. Crews say no one was home at the time the fire broke out.

No injuries have been reported.

Fire investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire that resulted in a portion of the roof collapsing.

 

KCMO fire spokesperson James Garret says he thinks the fire started in the attic, but investigators were still trying to determine what caused the fire.
