KANSAS City, Mo. -- Kids learned new moves and more on Saturday for free, during the fifth "K.C. Dance Day" put on by the Kansas City Ballet.

Kids could learn all about dancing from all over the world.

They got short demonstrations from dancers from Mexico, Ireland, Greece and other nations.

The Kansas City Ballet put on the final performance.

It's a way to get kids interested in new activities.

“Dance is part of life whether you dance or not, we move every single day and your rhythm is part of dancing, seeing dance is a way to experience more of your life which is naturally in there and waiting to come out,” said Devon Carney with the Kansas City Ballet.

This event also begins the new season for the Kansas City Ballet. The ballet's opening show is the "Three Musketeers" beginning October 9th.
