Shooting scene near 24th and Quincy

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An 18-year-old has been charged with shooting and killing another teen outside an area convenience store.

Jaire Fortune Rhodes, 18, faces 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action charges after the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office says Rhodes shot and killed 18-year-old Cepeda Jackson near 24th and Quincy on Thursday.

Rhodes is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.
