Police investigate after armed suspect demands money at Overland Park bank

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a US Bank in Overland Park.

Shortly after noon on Tuesday, Overland Park Police responded to an armed robbery at the US Bank, located at 9900 W. 87th Street.

Police said bank employees told officers the suspect entered the bank and immediately displayed a handgun while demanding money from the teller.

The teller complied with the demand and the suspect left the bank on foot. No one was injured. Police said no packages or items were left behind by the suspect.

The suspected robber is described as a black male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was also wearing dark colored stocking cap on his head.
