KANSAS CITY, Kan. — KCK police are searching for clues in the suspicious death of an Olathe man.

Police say the body of 34-year-old John Grady Simpson was found in a creek near 5800 Kansas Avenue on Wed. August 19.

Simpson was last seen on August 8 around 9:30 a.m., leaving his home in Olathe.

According to police, Simpson was driving a 2015 dark gray or green metallic color Ford Fusion with Kansas plates 258GUR, which still has not been recovered. The vehicle has noticeable damage to the rear driver’s door.

Police think Simpson could have been seen the area of 55th and Swartz Road in KCK during the afternoon of August 8.
