KANSAS CITY, Mo. – About 100 Planned Parenthood supporters rallied together at the J.C. Nichols Fountain on Tuesday afternoon. Thousands of supporters nationwide took part in the organization’s self-declared National Pink Out Day.

“I do believe that Planned Parenthood provides crucial services to many of my constituents and people throughout the whole state of Missouri,” said Missouri State Representative Judy Morgan, who was in attendance.

Pro-life supporters also came out to the rally to combat the group’s message.

“I am all for women’s healthcare, but the one person who isn’t being talked about are the babies,” Deana Myers. “That healthcare at Planned Parenthood is abortion.”

In honor of the National Pink Out Day the organization offered free STD testing Tuesday in 28 different cities.

The rallies come after the president of Planned Parenthood faced a barrage of questions and criticism from House Republicans Tuesday.
