KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jackson County’s juvenile officer filed rape and sodomy charges against a 15-year-old boy on Thursday. The charges stem from an investigation into a sexual assault that allegedly happened on September 28 at African-Centered Preparatory Academy.

The teenager is accused of raping another student at the school, both charges against him are class C felonies. Because the suspect is a minor, he won’t be identified.

FOX 4 previously reported that a girl at the school accused a boy of sexually assaulting her inside the school during a lunch hour. After the boy asked to talk with her, surveillance video showed the two walking to and from a stairwell.

A police report says that the boy carried her upstairs to the fifth floor and forced her to have sex. She told police she repeatedly said “no” to the boy. When police questioned him, he said they had consensual sex.
