KCK firefighters battle flames at two separate vacant home

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- KCK firefighters are investigating the cause of two separate fires that happened early Wednesday morning at vacant homes within a mile of each other.

The first fire happened near N. 10th Street and New Jersey Avenue, just a few block from 7th Street Trafficway.

The second fire happened at a home near 18th and Stewart Avenue, near Parallel Parkway.

The cause of each fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
