Police investigate robbery at Community America Credit Union inside Prairie Village Hy-Vee

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — Police are searching for the suspect in a Prairie Village bank robbery Thursday.

Police say the robbery happened at the Community America Credit Union inside the Hy-Vee in the 7600 block of State Line around 11 a.m.

Bridget Patton with the FBI says the suspect approached the bank and proved the teller with a note that demanded money. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.

Patton adds that no weapons were displayed and no injuries were suffered.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-30s. He is approximately 6′ tall with a heavy build. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black shoes and a baseball cap.

The FBI also says the suspect has a loss of pigmentation around his face.

The suspect was last seen heading north on foot to a vehicle that was parked near 76th and Sagamore. The vehicle is described as a newer black Cadillac sedan.
