ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Officers with the St. Louis County Police Department are investigating an apparent murder-suicide, in which a 6-year-old boy met police at the door after being absent from school.
According to KMOV-TV, police confirmed the deaths happened Monday morning. When the 6-year-old boy did not show up for school, the school called police to send someone out for a welfare check.
When officers arrived at his home, the six-year-old boy met them at them the door. Officers then found the boy's father, 50, and mother, 46, dead, KMOV reports.
The Crime Against Persons unit responded to the scene and is investigating.
