INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Two dozen kids with The Boy's and Girl's Club of Greater Kansas City went on a shopping spree Tuesday with an NFL player and members from The Independence Police Department. JCPenney gave each child a $100 gift card to the store and let them buy gifts for their families. Chiefs player Travis Kelce came out and helped the kids pick out gifts.

"I really believe that giving back is the best thing that you can do when you have an influence or have the platform for an influence," Kelce said.

Police officers and Kelce walked around the department store with the kids and helped them check items off their Christmas list. In addition to the gift cards JCPenney made a $100,000 donation to The Boy's and Girl's Clubs of America.
