Suspect wearing ski mask robs KCMO woman letting cat out front door

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are investigating after a woman says she was robbed in Kansas City, Mo. Tuesday morning.

Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Morningside Drive at 4:59 a.m. upon reports of a robbery.

The victim told responding offers that she let her cat out the front door of her home and while waiting for the cat to return, a man wearing a black ski mask entered her home.

According to police, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and asked if she had cash or guns inside of the home.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Police describe the suspect as a black male who is 5'9" tall with a stock build. The suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing. The victim told police the suspect was wearing gloves during the robbery.
