Kansas City police investigate several weekend shootings

Police are investigating multiple shootings that happened in Kansas City over the weekend.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are busy Monday investigating several weekend shootings.

One man died in a shooting near 34th and Park Avenue Sunday morning. When police arrived they found 31-year-old Parker Willingham of Kansas City, Mo., shot to death in a driveway. So far, police have not released the man’s name, and no arrests have been announced.

About the same time, 17-year-old Romero Palacios of Kansas City, Mo., arrived at Children’s Mercy Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Palacios died of his injuries. Police Palacios was shot after he got into an argument with someone he knew. Police say they’re not looking for suspects.

In a separate incident, a man was shot in the stomach near 39th and Central Avenue. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
