“The Healthiest of our Favorite Unhealthy Foods"
It's winter, so lots of us tend to hibernate and eat the foods we love.
Bianca has found the healthiest versions of our guilty pleasures.
She says choose Modern Oats to-go cups instead of high sugar, gluten-filled cereals that aren’t healthy and give you wheat belly.
She says Modern Oats are made with real-food ingredients like oats, nuts, berries and are non-gmo. Fill them with hot water or get creative and turn them into a parfait or muesli.
Modern Oats oatmeal
1 cup of Modern Oats, 4oz.
Fresh Berries, Honey
She also recommends:
- Veggie chips
- Bare Fruit Apple Chips instead of candy apples or indulgent apple pie. They are baked and all-natural. Great source of fiber, non-gmo, fat free and there’s no sugar added.
- Bitsy’s Brainfood Smart Cookies for kids instead of traditional sugary/fatty cookies.
- Powdered Peanut Butter from PBFIT to replace regular high fat peanut butters. PBFit is made from peanuts just like regular peanut butter but 75% of the oil is extracted to create a low fat powder that can be added to smoothies, shakes, cookies and even made into a healthier spread.
- one glass of almond milk
- 1 frozen or fresh banana
- 2 tablespoons of PBFit
- Squeeze of honey
Zevia to replace all sodas. Zevia is the healthiest zero calorie soda out there. It’s healthier because it’s made with stevia—the most natural miracle sweetener. It’s non-gmo, no dyes, vegan, gluten-free, and kosher. Now you can have your soda fix without the guilt or discomfort that many sodas bring.
