LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. -- A Secret Santa is paying off stranger's layaway orders at T.J. Maxx in Lee's Summit. Rose Lysne, who had gifts she picked out for her grandson on layaway, said she received a call from the store that somebody had paid off her bill.

"I was just crying when I picked everything up, I couldn't stop crying because it's the nicest thing that anybody has ever done for me," Lysne told FOX 4.

Lysne said staff told her the man not only paid off her $140 bill, but $700 in other layaway bills.

"I felt like this person needed to recognized, people need to know there is great people out there but they want to be secret," Lysne said, chuckling.

Lysne said the act of kindness brought her to tears. She said she doesn't get paid until Christmas Day, so she didn't have much time left to get the gifts under the tree. However, thanks to the stranger's act of kindness she was able to wrap them and have them ready for her 4-year-old grandson.

"I want to say thank you to you Secret Santa whoever you are out there," she said. "I just want you to know that I am very appreciative."

Lysne said the gesture has inspired her to pay it forward.
