KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police have one person in custody after a couple of smash-and-grab burglaries Thursday.

Officers responded just after midnight to a business at 85th and State Line. Someone had used a vehicle to ram the business.

Officers also went to 82nd and Troost on a report of a similar vehicle smashing the front entrance of a business.

There was also a smash-and-grab burglary at the Dollar General 82nd and Troost .

In this case, the burglars left the van behind. Officers also found a damaged ATM.

Police arrested one person and continue to look for another.
