Belton police find Hampton Inn shooting suspect, who gets charged with felony domestic assault

BELTON, Mo. -- One woman was wounded and a suspect was on the run after a shooting in Belton on Friday morning just after 11 at a Hampton Inn. Police say later on Friday they found a vehicle at a convenience store that matched the suspect's, and subsequently took 25-year-old Ryne W. Greathouse into custody.

Police say the shooting victim and Greathouse knew one another, and prosecutors have charged him with felony domestic assault, and armed criminal action. He's being held in the Cass County jail on a $250,000 bond.

The victim is still recovering at a hospital according to police.
