KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The boys in blue are almost ready to head to Surprise, Ariz., for Spring Training but before they leave FOX 4 is going one-on-one with some of your favorites, including pitcher Danny Duffy.

Q: Have a little trim there brother?

A: I had to clean it up a little bit, man. The woodsy look didn't do it for me last year I guess. I had to go get it right. I had to clean it up and salvage what I've got, where I do have it.

Q:  What you do have is a patch on your arm. How cool is that knowing you'll be sporting that look?

A: It's pretty exciting, I was saying earlier it was painful to see a West Coast game and see another team rocking that patch all year last year.  And so for us to be able to do this, it's a huge honor. The only team in the world that gets to do that for an entire year. Hopefully we can go out and defend it and be able to do it again in the future.

Q: You're going to get some bling to go with it in the near future. What are you going to do with it? Are you going to wear it, put it on your mantle or take selfies with around town?

A: I'm gonna have to wear it for a day or two and then find a safe place to keep it. That's something that's extremely special, and we're very proud of what we've got. So I'll enjoy it and then it's going to go somewhere in a safe, I don't know, it's gonna have to be extremely locked up.

Q: I know the off-season goes by quickly. Do you have any time to just sit back and relax and eat a bag of chips?

A: You know, not really, what's just saying to the guys over there is that I could put my feet up or get going and I decided to get going. We don't have a whole lot of time so I got after it.

Q: Ned said earlier he can't grow a beard, and we saw his bobble head and there's a lot of gray in his hair. What do you think that would look like with a beard?

A: I don't know, I can't imagine. I feel like he's probably shaved his face every day of his life. I've never seen him with a beard so I think the look he's got going for him is working for us right now so he's just stick with that.
