KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Making small changes to your diet can have a major and lasting impact on your health. Nutritional therapy practitioner Heather Page visited FOX 4 with an idea many have not thought of, smoothie bags.


Green Energy Smoothie
2 packed cups baby Kale, chard or spinach (or combo)
1/2 avocado
1/4 c. Blueberries
1/2 medium grannie smith or fuji apple
Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
1/4-1/3 c. Filtered water/coconut water combo

Add all ingredients to blender and mix. Serve immediately. One serving.

Green Sunshine Paradise Smoothie

1 c. spinach packed
1/2 c. Pineapple
1/3 c. Mango
1/2 Orange
1/2 c. full fat Coconut Milk (I buy Natural Value) (or combine 1/4 c. coconut milk and water)
Water - if want thinner consistently

Add all ingredients to a blender and combine until smooth. Serve immediately. One serving.
For extra protein, add a TBSP Great Lakes or Vital Proteins Collagen Hydrolysate or hemp and/or chia seeds to the above recipes when blending.
