FBI investigates bank robbery at Central Bank of the Midwest along Wornall Road

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The FBI is investigating a bank robbery at the Central Bank of the Midwest in Kansas City, Mo., Wednesday.

Bridget Patton with the FBI said the bank robbery happened in the 9700 block of Wornall Road around 12 p.m.

The FBI says the suspect provided a note and made a threat with a weapon.

The suspect is described as a 25-to 30-year-old black male with a slender build who was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and glasses.

Witnesses told the FBI the suspect fled in a dark-colored car with an undisclosed amount of cash.
