Early morning fire damages two Belton auto repair shops

BELTON, Mo. -- Investigators are trying to figure out the cause of an early morning fire in an auto repair shop Wednesday.

Firefighters in Belton, Mo.,  got the call just after midnight. Half of the building at 600 N. Scott was on fire.

Firefighters took a defensive mode until it was safe for them to go inside.

There are two auto repair businesses in the building, the other business has smoke and water damage.
