SPENCERPORT, N.Y. -- A New York woman was shocked to find out that her long-lost sister was not a stranger, according to ABC News.
Diane DiProspero was put up for adoption as a child, and she'd been searching for information about her biological family, ABC News reports.
DiProspero told ABC News that she recently got a letter from the New York State Adoption Registry and found out her favorite teacher in college 30 years ago was actually her older sister.
"When I started talking to her-I realized that we have the same mannerisms," Karen Cometa-Zempel told ABC News. "The parties the upbringings, celebrations, love of shopping, laughter, everything."
The sisters say they are currently busy making up for lost time.
