MIAMI COUNTY, Kan. — The Miami County Sheriff’s office with assistance from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Wellsville Police Department arrested a man on Saturday who is believed to have been in possession of nearly $200,000 worth of stolen items.

Brad Gillespie, 22, has been charged with possessing stolen property, running from law enforcement and criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Twice deputies tried to arrest him after finding stolen property at a Miami County home in November and again in March. An example of some property found to be stolen were skid steer buckets, 5-6 foot brush cutters, welders, motorcycle, guns, and power tools.
