Kansas City Fire Dept. vehicle hit on the way to fire
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Mo. Fire Department battalion chief racing to a call with lights and sirens on was hit by a driver of an SUV.
Police say the battalion chief and his partner were traveling east on Elmwood near Blue Parkway when the woman driving the SUV hit the fire vehicle. Police took the driver into custody and say she will be given a sobriety test.
Despite suffering a cut on his leg, the battalion chief continued to the house fire.
