KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man who describes himself as homeless wanted to reward a woman who helps people like himself in the community. So, he nominated her for FOX 4's 'Pay It Forward' program.

"Whenever she can reach out to help anyone, she does a lot of volunteer services for pantries, feeding the homeless. She just has a heart for it," said Terry Buckner. "She just comes by... she's just there at the right time. I'm not from here, basically I'm homeless and she'll say, 'You wanna do some work?'

"Really lift your spirits up, make you feel like you're somebody again."
