Johnson County man pleads guilty in crash that killed Louisburg officer

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A Johnson County man admitted on Tuesday that he caused a traffic crash that killed a Louisburg, Kan., police officer.

Dana Patton admitted to running a red light at 123rd and Metcalf and crashing into and killing officer David Stubbs last October.

Patton ran away after the crash and was arrested after he broke into a nearby apartment.

Police also say the car Patton was driving was stolen. Patton also pleaded guilty on Tuesday to battery because several other people were hurt in the crash.
