KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Police Department held their annual Crime Stoppers breakfast, recognizing their media partners, and FOX 4's own Kathy Quinn emceed the event.

FOX 4 was honored to receive an award, in part for our weekly 'Most Wanted' segments on the weekends.

Crime Stoppers has been working with the community for three decades now.

Crime Stoppers President Gregg Reiss is proud of the work the organization has done, and said it is finding new ways to fight crime.

"It's been really successful. We've really enjoyed a great partnership with the media, with the community, and with law enforcement. We've made a number of felony arrests; we've closed many, many cases; and then we've just started the text a tip program in the schools," Reiss said.
