CLAY COUNTY, Mo. -- A 19-year-old man is now charged for Monday night's police chase and shots fired in the Northland. Miguel Guerrero is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest by fleeing.

Guerrero was one of two people taken into custody after reports of shots fired at Smithville Lake.

Authorities then followed two vehicles toward Parkville.

Court documents show Guerrero fired at officers as they tried to put out spike strips on the highway.

Police had been looking for a third person but suspended their search late Monday night.

Guerrero is in custody on a $150,000 bond, his arraignment date hasn’t been set yet.
