OLATHE, Kan. -- A local house in a quiet neighborhood near 164th and Lackman Road hit the auction block Friday afternoon, and due to its location and great condition, it quickly sold.

The IRS property appraisal and liquidation specialist told FOX 4 his crew is used to selling foreclosures that are rundown and need some work, but this home was move-in ready

The house is more than 3,000 square feet. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The minimum bid was a little more than $250,000, and it sold in a matter of minutes for $310,000.

Neighbors told FOX 4 the home’s selling price is a bargain because most homes in the neighborhood start at $350,000.

"We have some friends that live in this neighborhood and this is a wonderful neighborhood and a great quality-of-life if you have small families, so it would definitely be a good place to live. That's what drew us to it," winning bidder, Andy O'Hanlon said.

O'Hanlon says his company buys homes, flips them and sells them for profit and that's the plan for this house. But he added that it’s too soon to say when it will be back on the market and what the price will be.
