KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A young horse lover got a special visit from the Kansas City, Mo. Police Department’s Mounted Patrol on Tuesday.

The police department posted some photos on Facebook from their visit with 9-year-old Natalie at Children’s Mercy Hospital, who they said had a bad accident and had to undergo an amputation.

Natalie has been riding horses since she was only 3 years old, and her mom said Natalie’s goal is to one day get back in the saddle.

Wednesday, the mounted officers were kind enough to let her get some much-needed face time with their horses.
