SUV crashes into daycare at 17th & Quindaro

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- An SUV crashed into a Kansas City, Kan., daycare early Tuesday morning.

KCK police say the SUV crashed through the glass of the daycare at 17th and Quindaro around 2:20 a.m.

The fire department installed wooden posts at the front of the daycare to secure the structure.

Police say the vehicle was abandoned once it crashed into the daycare, but the driver was later found and taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. There is no word on where the driver was found.

The owner of the daycare said the business just opened and she was not sure how long repairs would take.

No one was injured in the incident.
