KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Kansas City, Kan., fire investigators are trying to determine what caused an apartment to catch on fire twice in less than 24 hours.
The fire first broke out around 10 p.m., Monday at the apartment complex at 9th and Sandusky then restarted just after 4 a.m., Tuesday.
Fire investigators went inside the apartment complex Tuesday morning to make sure someone wasn’t relighting the fire.
The apartment complex is listed as vacant and is currently under construction.
KCKFD tweeted at 10:23 p.m., one person was transported to the hospital, but the condition of that person is unknown.
The causes of the fires remain under investigation.
