BUENO AIRES, Argentina — Some animals can be very persistent, and one dog in Buenos Aires is no exception.

Flight attendant Olivia Sievers told Argentine TV station Noticiero Trece that she often travels to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for work.

While walking near her hotel, she stopped to feed and play with a stray dog. Sievers says the dog followed her and slept outside her hotel.

She named the dog Rubio and flew back to Germany.

Over the next few months, every time Sievers returned, Rubio was waiting outside her hotel.

At one point, she arranged for Rubio to be adopted, but he escaped and went back to the hotel to wait for her.

Sievers finally adopted Rubio and brought him home to Germany
