Adhoc Group Against Crime and Hot 103 Jamz host 12-hour “Call for Action”

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Adhoc Group Against Crime and Hot 103 Jamz are holding a “Call for Action” Monday.

The event is a 12-hour radiothon that began at 6 a.m., near 31st and Prospect.

During those 12 hours they will ask the community to come forward to stop the violence.

For years, the Adhoc Group Against Crime has gone out into the community to pass out flyers, they've held vigils for victim's families and they've tried to help connect law enforcement with the community to help prevent violence.

People who have lost loved ones to violence will talk about their experiences on the air Monday during the radiothon in an effort to prevent more violent acts.

"Every tip matters," Damon Daniel with Adhoc said. "It's like pieces to a puzzle. So every piece of information is going to be helpful."

Police and grief counselors will also be available at the Adhoc offices to help victims.
