Clay County man charged after he allegedly raped woman while she waited for her phone to charge
CLAY COUNTY, Mo. — Clay County prosecutors filed charges against a 23-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman following a date.
Adam Larue is charged with second-degree rape his is alleged involvement in the assault.
According to the probable cause statement, Larue saw on Facebook that a woman he had previously dated was going to be in town. Larue reached out to that woman, and the two agreed to meet for dinner.
After having dinner together, the victim went to Larue’s home to charge her phone so that she could GPS her way home. The alleged assault took place while the woman was waiting for her phone to charge.
Court documents say Larue later told police he believed what he did was wrong. He also told police that while she said “no,” her body was telling him something different.
Larue is currently out on bond.
