Two-vehicle collision leaves motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash Sunday night.

Police say just after 11 p.m., two-vehicles collided in the intersection of 87th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

According to investigators, a black motorcycle was headed south on Blue Ridge Boulevard, when a witness says the motorcyclist did not stop for a red light. A Ford F150, traveling east on 87th Street with a green light, hit the motorcyclist.

The driver of the Ford told police they did not see the motorcycle until it was too late and could not avoid a collision.

The motorcycle driver was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was not injured in the collision.
