Boy from Great Bend who’s fought cancer three times delivers first pitch before Royals game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Royals got lots of inspiration before Tuesday night's game with the Yankees. A boy from Great Bend, Kan., who’s fought cancer three times threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Dade Cannon wasn't able to walk four months ago. Doctors at Children's Mercy say he's doing much better now, and he hoped to keep the Royals run of good baseball going.

The family wanted to thank the Ronald McDonald house for assisting them in their hospital stays.
