Accidental shooting in Raytown leaves one man injured, another taken into custody

RAYTOWN, Mo. — One man was injured and another was taken into custody after an accidental shooting in Raytown, Mo. on Saturday.

Raytown police were called to the 5900 block of Raytown Road on a report of an accidental shooting. When officers and emergency medical services arrived, they discovered one man with a gunshot wound to the stomach.

The man was transported to an area hospital, while another man was taken into custody. His current condition is unknown at this time.

No other injuries were reported.

The incident is still under investigation.
