FORT WORTH, Texas — One thing was not like the rest on Saturday when the Arkansas Razorbacks took on the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth, Texas.
It didn’t take fans long to noticed that T.J. Hammonds, a freshman running back, was wearing a jersey that misspelled the state and school’s name.
Across the chest Hammonds’ jersey read, “Akransas.”
Nike previously lost a massive deal with two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry because they mispronounced his name during a pitch presentation.
Arkansas went on to defeat TCU 41-38 in double over time.
Arkansas will play in Columbia, Mo., Friday, Nov. 25 when they take on the Mizzou Tigers.
