Marlins Man hooks up KC firefighters with Royals World Series swag

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Marlins Man had a special gift on Tuesday for local firefighters. The man in orange had some special blue jackets to share.

Kansas City firefighters were pumped when the Marlins Man showed up with boxes full of World Series jackets.

He chose Station 17 and 10 to deliver the custom-made World Series jackets he had commissioned for the firefighters. Those were the stations that were home to Larry Leggio and John Mesh, who died in a fiery wall collapse last October.

"I decided I helped them raise money last year by wearing the KCFD hats, and I realized we did something for the families of the ones who had perished, but who had done anything for the guys that were alive?" the Marlins Man asked.

The firefighters thanked him with a lift on Station 10's ladder truck.
