KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The movie 'Snowden' opens in theaters Friday, Sept. 16, and it looks at the FBI's investigation of Snowden and raises crucial questions for everyone. When the government investigates crimes, how do we protect the rights of others involved, and not just the alleged criminals.

Ladar Levison visited FOX 4 on Tuesday, Sept. 13 to share his unique perspective. His company, Lavabit, hosted private, secure email for hundreds of thousands of people, including Edward Snowden.
