‘Stop the Killing KC’ forms to spread anti-violence message, help solve homicides

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A group of people are coming together to try to help solve homicides in Kansas City. The organization is calling itself "Stop the Killing KC."

The group met Friday night near 35th Street and Harrison in Kansas City to spread its message. Organizers said they are putting together a squad of people who will talk to individuals in the city who might have information about unsolved homicides.

Organizers said they will also search social media profiles like Facebook and Twitter for information detectives might want.

Organizers said they are having a meeting Saturday and invite the men of Kansas City to come attend. The meeting will be held at noon at The Brush Creek Community Center.
