Police trying to find car belonging to KC North man who was kidnapped, killed on Sunday

NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Metro Squad hopes the public can help them find a car that belongs to a 22-year-old Kansas City North man who was killed on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Logan C. Minton was shot and killed in the area of Knox and Armour in North Kansas City. His body was found in the early morning hours on Sunday, September 18. Investigators say that Minton was abducted hours earlier in Kansas City, Mo.

On Thursday, investigators announced they are looking for Logan Minton’s car. It’s a maroon 2005 Buick LeSabre, with Missouri license plate DN9MOG.

They say they suspect the LeSabre was last seen in the area of Armour Road and I-35 Sunday morning, Sept. 18.

Minton’s Buick is believed to have a Northwest Bearcats decal in the rear window.

On Wednesday police located 19-year-old Zachary T. Murphy, a man they think has information about Minton’s last hours. They planned to speak to him concerning the homicide.

Minton leaves behind his mother, step dad, maternal grandparents,  maternal great-grandparents.  A Celebration of Life will be Friday, Sept. 23 at 12:00pm at Vineyard Church, 12300 NW Arrowhead Trafficway. The family suggests donations be made to Vineyard Church or Young Life Kansas City North, 1218 NE 102nd Court, KC, MO 64155.
