KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday in Kansas City, Mo.

Officer responded to a report of shots fired near 56th and Hardesty around 11:20 a.m. Upon arrival, they found one victim, described as a black male in his 20s with apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Police do not currently have anyone in custody, but described the suspect as a black male, in a black Chevy Equinox.
