Man shot between legs while defending blind person at Kansas City bus stop

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police canvassed the area around 82nd and Troost on Saturday, looking for the gunman who shot a man between the legs. Police found the victim across the street from a bus stop. The victim told them that the suspect was arguing with a person known to be blind, and when the victim tried to intervene to stop the argument, he was shot.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.
