Overland Park Recycling Extravaganza encourages people to think twice before putting items in trash

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The city of Overland Park is hosting an event called Recycling Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Black and Veatch. The extravaganza offers an opportunity to recycle more materials than ever before. The event runs from 8 a.m., to 2 p.m., and people can bring documents, clothing, appliances, bicycles, light bulbs, fabric, garden tools, shoes, eyeglasses, musical instruments, and more.
